Additional Comments

Installed Origin using the instructions here https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=26175&iTestingId=92022 To work around mouse pointer issues I had to set a wine desktop to the resolution I was playing the game in. Everything else just worked. Instead of starting ME2 from Origin, you have to start ME2Game.exe from the installation folder (usually in C:\Program Files\Origin Games\Mass Effect 2\Binaries. MassEffect2.exe crashes immediately, but it appears unnecessary to play and finish the game. Because of this the Origin 'cloud saves' functionality will not work as Origin is not involved after installing the game. Note: I found that on my hardware (Intel broadwell-u integrated graphics) enabling CSMT caused the game to slow down compared to having it off.

HowTo / Notes

HOWTO : DLC

DLC for Mass Effect 2 seems to work okay. You need an EA account & Bioware account. You have to link your bioware account to your EA master account.

When done, you can login to http://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php  and download the  content manually.

I have tested the Inferno Armor, Blood Dragon Armor, Zaeed - The Price of Revenge (Cerberus Network), Normandy Crash Site (Cerberus Network).

Launch the installer in the wineprefix you have Mass Effect 2 installed, the installer will fail (for me) at cleaning up the install. It is safe to kill the install process.

Once you have started Mass Effect 2, login to the Cerberus Network with your EA account and the DLC will be authorised (you may get a warning the first time)
