HOWTO 0). Prepare "msvfw32.dll", "ole32.dll" "oleaut32.dll" from Windows XP. Optionally copy "C:\Documents and Settings/Username/Local Settings/Temp/SonyInstall_1" from 5 step. 2). Make backup of your Wine prefix: cd ~/ mv .wine .wine-old Create new Wine prefix: WINEARCH=win32 winecfg (Optional) Disable Wine Mono install. 3). Download winetricks. Use that to install: corefonts, msxml3, msxml6, dotnet35sp1, directx9, vcrun2005, vcrun2008, quicktime76 4). In "winecfg", switch Windows version from Vista to XP (Winetricks did that for Quicktime). 5). (Optional) Extract Sony Vegas 11.0 installer: wine vegaspro11.0.700_32bit.exe When it's running, copy ~/.wine/drive_c/users/username/Temp/SonyInstall_1 to userspace. After that, close the installer. Open this directory and install IMAPI_XP_SRV2003_x86.exe, WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe and WMFDist11-WindowsXP-X86-ENU.exe: wine IMAPI_XP_SRV2003_x86.exe /quiet wine WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe wine WMFDist11-WindowsXP-X86-ENU.exe 2 and 3 apps are freezing when exit. Use Alt-F2 and type "wineserver -killall" to close it. 6). Install Sony Vegas 11.0, when run that and activate. 7). Copy 3 DLL's in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32, when run winecfg and set these libraries as Native. Without native OLE32 you will see vegas100.exe crash. With native OLE32 you will see ErrorReportClient.exe crash. Disable this by editing ErrorReportConfig.xml - «enabled» yes «/enabled» + «enabled» no «/enabled»
