Launch Game after Feb 23rd Update

The new intro video file format is throwing fits unless you have a bunch of specific gstreamer plugins installed. Deleting the file:

Hex_Data/StreamingAssets/HexIntro.m4v

Allows the game to launch as expected. You will need to press "escape" to load the game when you see the blank screen where the intro video would be at startup.

Fix Graphical Issues on Nvidia Chipsets
Disabling DX11 in your winecfg should let Hex run properly on Nvidia chipsets with closed source drivers. Do this by disabling the DDLs:

  • d3d11
  • d3dx11

Fix Spacing Missing in Words

If your word strings in game are missing the spaces between words run the following:

winetricks msxml3 corefonts
