On my nvidia system I need to disable directX 11 or there are some text rendering issues. Works fine by default on my Intel card.

The new intro video file format is throwing fits unless you have a bunch of specific gstreamer plugins installed. Deleting the file:
Hex_Data/StreamingAssets/HexIntro.m4v
Allows the game to launch as expected. You will need to press "escape" to load the game when you see the blank screen where the intro video would be at startup.
