Installation using the Installer.
MP3 files cannot be processed properly by Vegas Pro 13.
Loading Custom Effects Presets causes Vegas Pro 13 to crash every time.
"Track Compressor" Audio Effect breaks Vegas Pro 13's ability to play audio in real-time. (may only affect Arch based distros)
Using fonts other than Verdana on Titles & Text Media Generator.
Sony ProType Filter is Broken.
Built-in eyedropper for Vegas' color picker makes the whole window go black. Rendering it useless.

Workarounds
Winetricks used: corefonts d3dx10 d3dx11_42 d3dx11_43 d3dx9 directmusic directplay dotnet40 dsound msxml3 msxml6 quartz quicktime76 vcrun2005 vcrun2008 vcrun2010 vcrun2012 vcrun2013 vcrun2015
Arch Based Distros: Install the "quartz" verb by itself with winetricks first before installing everything else listed above.
You may need to uninstall Wine Mono before installing the winetricks verb "dotnet40".
Windows Version: Windows 7 (Installing the "dotnet40" winetrick verb switches Windows version to XP which is not recommended for using Vegas Pro 13)
Override msxml3 set to "Native then Builtin".
Installed Vegas Pro 13 on a system running Windows then copied these folders to the Wine prefix:
C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 13.0
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Shared Plug-Ins
Copy these registry entries then paste it in the "system.reg" file in the Wine prefix in order to use Audio Effects in Vegas Pro 13:
https://pastebin.com/raw/esnBR...
(Alternative for Audio Effects fix: Install Vegas Pro 12 using the installer, then delete VP12 files manually located in "C:\Program Files\Sony" of the prefix.)
Prefix needs to be configured to use Virtual Desktop in order to make the "Render As" window usable. (It's completely black otherwise.)
If you really need to use an Audio Effect that causes playback issues (like Track Compressor), you can apply it as a Non-Realtime Audio effect and it will work just fine. Real-time playback may be choppy.
Remove the Track Audio Effects added by Vegas by Default to get rid of audio playback issues.
If installing a Third-Party OFX Plug-In or Codec causes Vegas to be unable to import video files. Run "wine uninstaller" under the prefix VP13 is installed under, select Quicktime and click Remove. Then select the "Repair" option when the Quicktime Uninstaller shows up.
What was not tested
Third-Party VST Audio Effect Plug-Ins
Rendering as anything other than MP4, WMV, and AVI
Importing as anything other than MP4, WMV, and AVI
DVD/Blu-Ray Burning
Anything else that I haven't mentioned in this test result so far.

Additional Comments
An update to the previous test result I made back in March.
Vegas Pro 13 may be slightly more broken on Arch-based distros but it still works well enough to be usable.
I also have had trouble importing videos to Vegas Pro 13 by dragging and dropping from Dolphin file manager sometimes. Vegas sometimes freezes or it just won't import it.
Vegas Pro 13 on Wine may not work for every system. For better chances, use the latest version of Wine.
64-bit Wine is required. Vegas Pro 13 is 64-bit only software.
If you already have MAGIX Vegas Pro 14 or later installed before installing Vegas Pro 13 on a Windows machine, copy the VEGAS folder in the "Program Files (x86)" folder and paste it in "Program Files (x86) in that Wine prefix and then rename the "VEGAS" folder as "Sony" (without quotations). If a version of Magix VEGAS Pro's audio effects do not play nicely with Vegas Pro 13 on Wine, then alternatively, delete the "Sony" folder in "Program Files (x86), then run Vegas Pro 12's installer under the same prefix to get the needed Audio effects.
Your best options for creating text for Vegas Pro 13 is either use "Legacy Text" media generator or use a 3rd party program for creating text like GIMP or Krita.
The "Legacy Text" media generator is buggy and takes a bit getting used to.
If you made a mistake of an saving effect preset, which results in having the effect to crash Vegas every time, go to your "Documents" folder in your Home directory, then delete anything that is in the "OFX Presets" folder.
Keep in mind that the "Runtime Error" will show up upon starting Vegas Pro 13 for the first time. If you get Vegas to launch successfully after clicking "OK", you shouldn't see that error message pop up anymore whenever you launch Vegas Pro 13 again. If it crashes after the error message, then is something is wrong here.
The interface is buggy where you would need to hover your mouse over some buttons to see icons. With the Explorer tab, the right click menu is invisible until you move your mouse over the options.
Vegas Pro 13 on Wine is prone to freezing. Save often!
In Conclusion: Works well enough for hobbyists, but I wouldn't recommend using Vegas Pro 13 on Wine for professional use.
