What works

- Basic editing (fade-in/outs, speed-up desired parts, trim etc)
- Export
- Import MP4 files

What does not

- First run
- GPU acceleration :)
- Installation (files have gone after the install)

Workarounds

Install dotnet46 and corefonts(without this I couldn't see any of the functions in the "Render As..." page or files and folders in the Explorer)

If the installer runs, just start a full folder copy (from and) to a very fast block device (like ramdisk). At the very last steps, the installer removes all the files. Example below like I did. Bugreport: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_b...

I also had to roll back to Wine version 2.18 until the very first successful bootup. After Vegas was able to start for the very first time, you could upgrade to latest version (4.18 in my case). Bugreport: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_b...

Additional Comments

The UI is a bit laggy, could freeze. So just like Sergey Kononenko mentioned you should save the project sometimes.

As I experienced, you can make Vegas more stable if you have the Gallium Nine environment in place. Use the wine-nine package if you are using Arch-Linux, more information: https://wiki.ixit.cz/d3d9
