I was able to run the program right after installation by keeping the "run OpenToonz" box checked and pressing "ok". However, as soon as I started using the brush, the application crashed.
Subsequently, I couldn't run the software anymore without a crash right at the splash screen. Reinstalling and using the "run OpenToonz" checked box thing allowed me to get into the software again, but it crashed again.
 TL;DR: Not usable.Â
What does not
Mostly everything I could try
What was not tested
I read on the reddit thread pertaining to the software in /r/linux that someone got it working on Wine. No idea about how accurate that is; I don't know much about tweaking wine however, so it might be that something fairly simple has to be done.
