I didn't get very far (I'm suck at actually playing games), but everything seemd to be working flawlessly once the basics were handled.
What does not
Originally, I could hear the sounds and music, but there was no video; the screen was completely black, and remained so until the main menu sequence was supposed to appear. At this point, the background changed to the foliage, and a scrambled, upside-down version of the Rayman Origins logo appeared in front of what looks like a red-hued forest silhouette.
This was corrected using "winetricks d3dcompiler_43"; once applied, the opening animations and the main menu appeared correctly, and the game would run without further issue.
What was not tested
There are instructions out there including glsl=enabled and ddr=opengl for video issues, as well as using "winetricks xact_jun2010" if sound doesn't work. I didn't need to use any of these, but I figured it might be useful to at least mention them in case someone else finds them useful.
