Known Issues

Internet Explorer:

Freegate will launch Internet Explorer (iexplore.exe) after connecting to the servers. Unfortunately when you close the window of Internet Explorer, its process (iexplore.exe) will not be ended. You have to end the process iexplore.exe manually, otherwise the local proxy port number of Freegate will be incremented each time you relaunch Freegate.

Simply go to Settings and select Classic Mode if you do not want Internet Explorer to be launched by Freegate.
