The game installs and runs almost perfectly with Wine on Ubuntu 14.4.04
What does not
I had a little trouble changing the screen size and switching from windowed to full screen mode. Also, when I really pushed the complexity of the anomalies, it did kind of crash. I recommend setting the number of spawns. particles and segments lower in the options menu, and working your way up to more complex ones. Anomalies requires a fairly good graphics card, and will run at a slow frame rate if too many segments or particles are loaded. Activating real-time shadows really slowed down the game, even with a rather uncomplicated Anomaly. This may be due to the older graphics card, or it may have something to do with the x.org driver, however they did work, and did not crash.
What was not tested
I tested all the main features of the game.
I did not need to do anything special to install. Also, I am using an Nvidia 8600 gtx graphics card, with the X.Org open source driver.
