Once forced into d3d9 mode, the game can be played normally in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
What does not
- OpenGL Mode
In OpenGL mode the game renders a bright pink opaque screen. The menu and sound are working and menu button hover sounds can be heard when moving the mouse. It seems the game itself does work, it's just that you see nothing but pink which makes actually playing the game impossible.
- DirectX 11 Mode
WINE does not yet implement enough of d3d11 for this game to start at all in this mode (the game boots using d3d11 by default). It will crash immediately.
- XBox 360 Controller
Input of the controller is not registered in the game even though WINE itself is aware of the controller. Using the xpad kernel driver or the xboxdrv user-space driver will not change this.
What was not tested
The in-game camera may exhibit extreme movement behaviour now and then but this is a known issue also present on Windows. Not a Wine issue.
