What does not
Sound was configured to use ALSA.
You must configure the prefix to use ALSA audio. You have to tweak the settings for the prefix using the GUI in PlayOnLinux if you used that to install the program as I did.
What was not tested
I tested all areas of the app, it is fully functional.

For some, such as myself, rosetta stone works out of the box on a 64bit prefix and using pulseaudio so long as volume is set just right. However, many others are having issues with sound or the Program simply not adding or running language packs. If this is you, you may want to try the following :
P.S. I borrowed and slightly edited the work around posted in the comments by another user as they were fairly concise. So special thanks to "PE3GN9O" from whom I borrowed this. Also thank you to the person who submitted the test results that also mentioning this work around.
