What works

App can be installed. This is where the stability ends

What does not

Sometimes the app crashes:

• on startup
• when you resize the windowed game with your mouse
• in a match

Other problems:

• The app starts full screen (FullHD monitor) with a less than FullHD resolution. The mouse shows up in the correct position, the hitbox of the mouse is somewhere else -> incredibly hard to his any UI element
• The game can be set to "windowed" which resizes the window and prevents the mouse issue
• In windowed mode, the game window can not be resized. So if the game is set to eg. 1280x720 this is all you get. Switching this in the settings does not change anything. Restarting does not help.
• Improving the visual game quality causes a crash on startup
• Resetting all ingame settings from the Blizzard Launcher does help sometimes but not always
• The game often stutters even on low settings. My 10 yeard old windows laptop did not have that problem. My current laptop is more powerfull. So I guess it's a driver issue (?)

Pretty much every function could not be tested since the game kept crashing and was too unstable for testing anything

I'm not 100% sure about the Wine version though.

I want to test if Wayland is any better. I doubt that it will be.

I used the Bottles app with it's preset to install the Blizzard Launcher. The app was installed without any problem. Launching though bottles was not possible.

The Blizzard Launcher installed the game in the regular Wine Windows directory (/home/USER/.wine/drive_c/). Since Bottles did not start the game, I started the game with right click -> Open with Wine-Windows Program Starter.

I have installed

• Wine through flatplack (version stable 7.0, does nothing as it seems?)
• Bottles through flatpack
• Wine-staging 7.6 from the terminal as described on the Wine Website

So I have 0 idea which version of Wine is really used to run the game. But it seriously doesn't matter because the game is Captain Crash'a'lot.
