What works

The tutorial, at a minimum. Probably everything.

Edit C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\Angels Fall First\AFFGame\Config\AFFSystemSetting.ini

Set the following:
Fullscreen=False
Resx= (your horizontal resolution)
Resy= (your vertical resolution)

Start the game. It will open in a small window, and you won't be able to see the whole game. Press F11 to make it fullscreen.

If your computer works like mine, you will have to reset the config settings to disable fullscreen every time you start the game. You might want to make a script for it.

What does not

Windowed mode. Fullscreen mode without doing what I listed above (you get no image as in bug 40961). The game crashes if you take away focus. I did have the game freeze up twice, but after a while, it recovered.

While overall the game was playable, it would occasionally freeze up completely for periods ranging from a few seconds to several minutes, during which time no game time passes. This is more likely in ground combat than space combat. This occurred in offline matches; I have not yet tested multiplayer.

The audio quality was very poor on both of my computers. I think this is associated with the fact that they were being pushed to their limits; I have also had this problem with one native Linux game with high graphical requirements.

What was not tested

Most content, as of yet. I will comment if anything doesn't work.

Additional Comments

You need a pretty solid computer to play this title. On both my Ubuntu Desktop with an i5-2500k and a GeForce GTX 550 Ti and my Macbook Pro 11,2 with Iris Pro 5200 graphics, it typically ran between 15 and 25 FPS at low graphics settings. The Desktop has better graphics performance, but an inferior CPU when compared the laptop. Unless you are a huge fan of this game, I can only really recommend on wine it for people with a substantially better CPU and GPU than the desktop I mentioned.
