Both the game's interface and PvE worked fine, haven't tested PvP.
What does not
3D Models characters, NPCs and mobs don't work.
"Cartoon" graphic mode doesn't work at all: during PvE characters and mobs 3D models are invisible (you can only see their names and stats), in the interface they are "exploded" and only preserve their main colour.
"Traditional" graphic mode works poorly: during both PvE and in the interface the models are rendered, but their pieces are all set to the same xyz-coordinates (about eye level), making for floating blobs.

What was not tested
Tried re-installing DirectX9 (winetricks d3dx9_29, d3dx9_30 and d3dx9_43) to try and solve the 3D models problem, but it didn't work, even after the .dll files were copied to the game folder.
