Installation works fine. Don't be irritated that the GOG Installer results in the end at "out of stack" and "out of range" error messages. It appears to be a usual thing with the GOG Installer.
What does not
Starting the game after installation. After the initial Gothic 3 modal there is only a black screen in fullscreen mode, in windowed mode you will still see the linux environment in the window and nothing happens. In Short, the window hangs.
Altough the GOG version is already the latest version (Community Patch 1.75.14) the workaround I only did was just to install the Community Patch 1.75.14 again. After that starting and playing Gothic 3 worked.
I played for one hour and there was for example no issue with saving the game, loading the game save, the journal, viewing the map, interacting with the environment, sound and graphic details.
One issue I had when I began a new game after the video sequence and the ingame play started the key control didn't work. It feeled like the key control wasn't focused to Gothic 3. I tried than various keys and I believe tab (switching windows) helped in the end. After that no further issue with key control appeared.
What was not tested
The whole gameplay (for example the main quests).
I prepared an extra wineprefix, installed via winetricks d3dx9_36 and d3dx9_40 and installed Gothic 3 GOG and Community Patch 1.75.14.
