Finding, joining, playing, on any server, works excellent. All: maps, models, animations, sounds, music, configuration options, appear to function normally.
steam overlay works
zero problems with framerates in regular gameplay.
What does not
Friend invites, steam game info, don't function at all. Experienced random crashes involving a page pool memory problem(CMesh:DX8::LockVertexBuffer), despite having 16 gig of ram and a 3 g of VRAM. Here you can learn more about the error and possible reasons for it.
This was tested on:
wine 1.7.8 first and then again on wine 1.9.16.
Ubuntu 14.04 first and then again on 16.04
What was not tested
Launching a server, launch options.
If someone figures out how to fix the crashes, it would be between gold and platinum rating. For now, I'm rating it a silver. As it seems to happen every few map/rounds and can be frustrating.
