Standard Ubuntu's wine version 1.6 in 16.04 LTS does not work as used to work in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. After installation the application crash regardless of using HACK described bellow. Therefore I decided to use the latest version of wine from the site: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ubuntu/ppa Steps to follow: $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install wine1.8 --- HACK --- For prevent application crash, you must set the DLL override in winecfg: opengl32 must be set to "NATIVE". run winefg in window chose Libraries, in search type opengl32, click Add. Hit Yes in asking dialog. Then select the opengl32 and on the right side click Edit and from the window chose "Native (Windows)". Click OK, and then OK.
