Note: This should not be confused with MicroWorlds 2.0 (no EX) which is a different, but similar, product.

MicroWorlds EX version 2.01 differs from the previous versions in the following way:

Fixed an issue with relaunching MW EX under Mac OS X Lion.

Fixed an issue where MicroWorlds would not recognize projects stored on a server, in a managed client network.

Fixed an issue where MicroWorlds would not save and not complain when saving in a write-protected folder (system protection).

Fixed an issue when saving on a server (manages clients) and the backup file (~) is not deleted.

Fixed an issue where projects are loaded as a simple hyperlink on the page.

What works

  2. Shapes editor
  3. Copy and pasting shapes and other objects
  4. Saving and opening mwx (project) files
  5. Buttons, dropdown menus, check-boxes, Round Button Sets, List Boxes
  6. Dialog Boxes
  7. Backpacks
  8. Importing and exporting turtles
  9. welcome screen and links (though can be buggy)
  10. Using drawing tools in the painting/clipart window
  11. running any procedures (exceptions being system calls that are broken mentioned below)
  12. Turtles have full functionality (outside of using sounds)

What does not

  1. Transparent text boxes does not display, but technically functional
  2. Melodies have no sound
  3. Command Center sometimes doesn't display text correctly, but technically functional
  4. Vertical sliders don't load correctly when opening a project file
  5. Printing function doesn't work properly (prints some and parts of objects)
  6. Page transitions don't work properly
  7. Changing fonts won't display correctly
  8. Playing imported music and sounds causes a crash
  9. Hyperlink buttons do not work

I haven't tested everything, but as far as what I seen it works decently well. Still needs some work though. Plan on adding more info when time is available. [Last updated October 19, 2016]
