The game plays near-perfectly in windowed mode with borders: all controls work, sound playback functions perfectly, and visuals have only one glitch which is detailed in the "What does not work" section.
What does not
Fullscreen mode (either bordered or borderless) and borderless windowed mode do not start properly but hang immediately after launching.
When playing, the game seems to eventually run out of "room" for textures (including both sprites and backgrounds) and instead displays every additional texture beyond those loaded up to that point as a rainbow-colored box. Â This affects some regions and boss fights more drastically than others; in particular, the second Seana boss fight is unplayable because of this. Â Only textures seem to be affected; sounds, including background music, are loaded and played normally even when the entire game window is a multi-rainbowed mess. Â For situations less drastic than the second Seana boss fight, this phenomenon can be worked around by exiting and restarting the game after every few save points, and can be delayed somewhat (but not fixed) by running the game with the option "Disable Preloading".
What was not tested
The end-game and post-game boss fights have not been tested.
Controller support has not been tested, although the game controls perfectly well with a keyboard.
