A Japanese IP address is needed to login and enter a world. VPNs do work without any issues.

Their website will block downloading the launcher/installer on Linux it seems. I tried an user agent spoofing extension in Firefox; however it didn't bypass it, so you may have to download the installer executable on a Windows machine or download the installer from elsewhere.
