To install the game, Wine needs to be configured for Windows 98. I can be change for all wine applications (Not Recommended) to follow or add the game manually. This also needs to be set for Windows 98 to play the game, too. Game launches in full-screen mode, however, the game takes control of mouse input. Also, the game may have corrupt images or revert back to the desktop in 320x280 resolution (with the game still running in the background. Only restarting the display manager will restore the session (thus ending all process including 3D Cube Hopper). The solution to this problem is quite simple. Open "Configure Wine" app (Thru the menu, wine or type "winecfg" into terminal); click on the "Graphics" tab; click the check box "Emulate a virtual desktop" and change the Desktop size to: 800 X 600. Note: this resolution can be changed to any supported resolution that the monitor can accept, although, setting the resolution too high can cause the FPS to drop. Then close out of Wine Config by clicking "Apply" and click "OK". Then navigate to the main folder of 3D Cube Hopper and open "3DCube.ini" and change the "Resolution" and "FullPostition" lines to the resolution that was set for the Desktop size in Wine Config. Save changes and exit. Now 3D Cube Hopper should run correctly.
