What works

A lot of tweaking needed to get this running close to native

Works,

  • Launcher
  • Main Menu
  • Gameplay (See Workarounds)
  • Sound (See Workarounds)
  • Modding (See Extra Comments)

What does not

  • Background Sound and Dialogues don't work without Faudio.
  • Sound stutters badly until PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC is changed.
  • Graphics ingame are badly blurred by default and DXVK is needed to correct this.
  • Very bad FPS ingame (See Workaround)

Workarounds

For performance and non blurred graphics

  • winetricks dxvk096

NOTE: DXVK versions post 096 don't improve FPS, whatever reason might be behind this but for now version 096 is recommended for playable FPS.

For Background and Dialogue Sounds

  • winetricks faudio
  • export PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90

NOTE: PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC is needed to tackle stuttering in game audio, if your sound is stuttering or crackling this environment variable might not be getting applied before launch.

What was not tested

  • ENB
  • Reshade
  • Heavy Modding
  • Long Gameplay
  • WINEESYNC

Hardware tested

Graphics:

  • GPU: AMD
  • Driver: open source

Additional Comments

I used MO2 primarily for modding and it works great, though a wine version with uvfs patch will be needed for it to work. Wine Version 4.21 supports MO2 natively but then again it was introducing bug 48185 on my setup. For now wine 4.19 with uvfs patch might be best bet for running a modded Skyrim SE.
