What works

Installs correctly. 

In order to get voices to work follow these instructions... On the Balabolka home page, see the section "Microsoft Speech Platform". Visit and install:
    x86_SpeechPlatformRuntime\SpeechPlatformRuntime.msi
    MSSpeech_TTS_en-US_ZiraPro.msi

At this point you should see available voices under the Microsoft Speech Platform tab. If you attempt to "Read aloud", you'll might see an error "Can not synthesize the speech OLE error 80004005". This indicates that msxml needs to be fixed.

Install https://wiki.winehq.org/Winetrick. Run winetricks, and select "Install a Windows DLL or component." Install msxml3. 

Restart Balabolka and everything should work: reading aloud, saving to mp3, etc.

What does not

Spell checking

SAPI5 doesn't work, but typical SAPI5 voices work with Microsoft Speech Platform.

Clipboard watch can misbehave reading the same snippet over and over. A work around is to use "Ignore clipboard updates if text has not changed"
