What works

I've been installing Origin 2019b 64bit on wine-4.0 (Debian 4.0-2) on Debian 10, 

  • network license could be configured 
  • Opening a new project with works




What does not

The New Workbook dialog stays empty empty, and does not show a dialog like this https://www.originlab.com/doc/...

it does not seem critical so. one can close this window and start a new project with




Workarounds

One needs to install msvcr110.dll through winecfg with this instructions according to these instructions

  • Go to 'Libraries'
  • In the 'New override for library' field search msvcr120 and press Add

Origin does not run yet, one needs to install msvcr110.dll through winecfg with this instructions according to these instructions
