It installs (with some workarounds) but crashes immediately on launch. It displays the "bugsplat" error report window which is a feature built into SketchUp so this at least means that SketchUp is installed. I'm just missing something that is needed for the program to actually launch correctly.
What does not
Nothing works except for the built-in "BugSplat" crash reporter.
What was not tested
Nothing was tested because I couldn't get past the crash on launch.
I put that it runs but all it runs is the SketchUp bugsplat crash reporter. But that's at least running something built into SketchUp as opposed to not running anything at all. I also had to manually install the offline installer version of .NET 4.5.2 which I downloaded from Microsoft's website. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42642 winetricks dotnet452 does not work and just gives an error that dotnet40 is already installed. Also trying to install .NET 4.52 through the official sketchup.exe also fails. Also I tried this and had the same results on both wine version 2.0, which is the default version currently available on gentoo and on wine version 2.3 which is the highest version available through gentoo.

$ export WINEARCH=win64
$ winetricks vcrun2013 vcrun2015 corefonts
$ winetricks win7
- Download .NET Framework 4.5.2 (offline version) and install it with the command:
$ wine start /unix NDP452-KB2901907-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe
- Then run the actual SketchUp installer:
$ wine SketchUpMake-it-x64.exe (or the Pro version, either works)
- Follow the installation steps
- Run SketchUp (you can run it just fine from the .desktop created by WINE itself)
