What works

This test data applies to Apple macOS on official Mac hardware. There are other Test Reports associated with SWTOR that you can view for running SWTOR on GNU/Linux.

All aspects of the game client work correctly, assuming you have the graphics settings tuned appropriately (certain high-end eye candy graphics settings will cause the client to crash or hang).

What does not

Certain high-end graphics settings don't work.

Important: It appears that Mac's graphics drivers for Intel graphics chipsets do not provide the required extensions (or features of those extensions, or have a bug in those extensions) preventing SWTOR from rendering the world correctly on pre-2016 Macbook Pros which do not have a Discrete Graphics Card (e.g., from AMD).

Therefore, on Apple macOS (aka OS X), only the following systems appear to be supported:

• A system with an AMD or Nvidia graphics card will probably work.
• A system with an Intel "Skylake" 6th generation Core i3/i5/i7, such as the 2016 Macbook Pro.
