If you need to use MSSQL you have to install mdac28 via winetricks.

Fix for OLE error with Wine 2.6/2.7 accessing MSSQL server.

If you upgrade to Wine 2.6 or 2.7 and then try to access an MSSQL server, you might get an OLE error.

Setting mtxdm to native appears to fix this. For those that don't know how to do this, run winecfg, and under the Libraries tab, you want to type in mtxdm, and click the add button. It should appear in the list of Existing overrides as mtxdm (native, bultin). Click OK. Try again. Should work.

FYI this issue was fixed with the latest version of Winetricks. Get the latest version of winetricks and install/reinstall mdac28, problem solved!
