Selected Test Results

What works

Opening the program and playing music in various formats.

Most plugins, both native and WinAmp's work well.

Playlist and equalizer.

Some skins. Tested under Marco with software compositing. Other options give different results.

What does not

Attempting to play WMA files fails and the playlist skips to the next non-WMA file.

Most skins will have the window's shadow over the window instead of under it. Others will have parts of the window chopped off. Sometimes they will work until the program is restarted, then one of the previous scenarios will happen.

File-type association doesn't work.

Workarounds

What was not tested

Playing audio CDs.

Additional Comments

After manually associating every file-type to play with XMPlay, using a working skin and compositing option, it is possible, in general, to use the program as one would on Windows.
