Executing the program and playing music of various formats.
Both WinAmp and native plugins are mostly recognized and their settings can be adjusted.
The playlist function and the equalizer work.
Some skins work. Disclaimer: This was tested using MATE with Compiz, so some results may vary. Especially in regards to visual presentation, skins and window manipulation.
Manually associating files to play when double-clicking them.
What does not
Attempting to play a WMA file will crash the program. It seems related to the plugin; but the same situation works under Windows.
There may be erratic movement if the program window is dragged around the screen. It's not possible to move it between desktops by dragging it, either.
Many skins don't work properly. In some cases, the equalizer and playlist will cover the main program window. Other times, there will be black squares over parts of the main window.
Using the program's interface to associate it with file types does nothing.
What was not tested
Playing audio CDs.
Regarding the program's main purpose (playing music), it works almost flawlessly. Admin note: rating has been changed to conform to the rating definitions.
