noCD patch was used, in-game videos are a fairly significant gameplay requirement, you will be confused about your objectives / motivation without them, however the game is still playable as intended but the videos will be skipped. using winetricks quartz caused more trouble than it solved, this may not be the case once *buntu multi-arch is repaired?
