What works

Installing through Uplay.

Running single-player (with the Uplay overlay disabled).

Changing the game settings.

Playing through the first three sequences.

Playing with mouse & keyboard.

Playing with a Xbox 360-compatible controller (provided that its has been proved well supported in your environment - the Microsoft gamepad is usually a good choice).

What does not

Graphics performance with Wine is lower than what you can reach on Windows.

What was not tested

Finishing the single-player game.

Hardware tested

  • GPU: Nvidia
  • Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

I made this test with a fresh 64-bit Wine prefix.

Some workarounds might be needed to install and use the Uplay launcher - see its AppDB pageI assume that shouldn't be taken into account for the rating.

To improve graphics performance, you may want to install third-party DXVK into the Wine prefix - sudo apt-get install libvulkan1 vulkan-tools, then winetricks dxvk92 in the prefix.
