What works

Main menu, Civ builder, main game.

What does not

Quit crashes the game still. In "space" mode, the screen redrawing is not too good, it leaves terrain artifacts on the screen making it rather unplayable sadly.  Still get artifacts on the screen from the cursor, but they can be cleared by going into the "Custom Civ" screen and coming back again.

What was not tested

Multiplayer, full screen mode (as yet).

Additional Comments

wine-1.1.9 (later versions give page faults). no-cd cracked version of ee-aoc (I own the full version but need to use the nocd crack to play under Linux). KDE4.3.1 with kwin (3d openGL desktop) effects running. kernel 2.6.31-41-default (64bit) nvidia 8400m-gs video card, driver version 185.18.36 Use winetricks to install nearly all offered addons, and use winecfg to change libraries to use all the native ones, especially dinput and d3d. This seemed to cure the mouse cursor problem. Amazing, the first time I have ever seen the expansion running under Linux, and I have been trying for years! Screenshot as proof here -
