Additional Comments

mouse speed/accel problem - excluding the multiplayer submenus (but not multiplayer gameplay) was fixed primarily with: xinput set-prop $mouse_device_id 'Device Accel Profile' 3 xinput set-prop $mouse_device_id 'Device Accel Velocity Scaling' 10 xinput set-prop $mouse_device_id 'Device Accel Constant Deceleration' .0083 xinput set-prop $mouse_device_id 'Device Accel Adaptive Deceleration' 1 .. where $mouse_device_id is xinput's device id for your mouse hardware. The important bit is setting 'Device Accel Constant Deceleration' to the exact value of .0083; .0085 is too much, .008 is too little. Once you've set this property to this value, the mouse behaves normally, or at least it did for me. I am using a Razer DeathAdder Chroma mouse. When transitioning between: * your desktop and the game *,the main menu and the multiplayer submenu(s) * the multiplayer submenu(s) and the multiplayer match .. you will need to set/unset the mouse properties listed above via xinput as appropriate, which is a pain. I used 2x bash scripts to make this easier for myself.
