Chugs along at 15 fps
by Bryan Willis on Wednesday November 29th 2017, 21:44
Tried the settings from the latest silver rated install using wine 2.14. I got past the 1fps chugging all right. But only could later manage to get the game to run at a max of 15 fps or so. It felt very sluggish, and unfortunately for a plat former this just wasn't acceptable. :c

Any suggestions on a fix would be great. But I had CMST staging turned on, wine 2.14 using windows7 prefix and I'm running off of Ubuntu 16.04

You may want to try it again with a fresh prefix, making sure WINEARCH=win64 and you're running ShantaeHero64.exe. I've determined the issues are caused by 32-bit mode. If you're actually running fully in 64-bit mode the game now runs fine, at least for me.
