Once you get past the initial slowness, the game works quite well, and runs at about 60 fps on my hardware (Core i5-4690k, GTX 980) at 4K.
What does not
Initially, the game runs at about 1 fps with a glitchy, slow, partly indecipherable intro, and due to many inputs just not doing anything, I have to click several times to get the game to respond. See workaround.
Once I manage to change the resolution to 1080p, restart the game and run the game again, the game runs great - I can even go back to playing it at 4K with little issue. Not sure why this weird workaround works for me.
There is probably some workaround to get a Steam controller working properly, or an Xbox 360 controller working at all, but I couldn't figure it out.
What was not tested
I did not complete the game, so there may be issues later on.
