I have been barely able to walk out to Kaer Morhen chambers balcony, but that's it, the game is really unplayable at this point.
I'm using wine 2.4 staging with CSMT enabled inside winecfg. This rating has been edited after I found out that launching the game is possible with a link, I have probably been trying to launch it wrong before. I have not applied the buffer pool patch (or hack), so this is a vanilla staging wine rating.

Currently with wined3d, The Witcher 3 is still affected by CPU-GPU buffer maps synchronization issue (bug #44315). It severely degrades performance.
Using dxvk instead of wined3d is the best course of action, since it performs very well, and also provides perfect rendering, as long as your Vulkan driver supports VK_EXT_transform_feedback extension.
