What works

Launching the game and playing a single-player game against AI works. Sound works. Board editor seems to work.

What does not

Network play does not work at all; DirectPlay is too stubby.

Workarounds

The game suffers from several bugs causing it to crash when launched, all of which can be worked around:

* Bug 18971: Needs builtin fonts copied to C:\windows\fonts\ directory.

* Bug 24963: Needs Staging (or to be compiled with the specific patch linked in that bug).

* Bug 42908: Needs to be configured to use a hardware device. To do this you will need to edit the DirectX.ini file in the program's install location, and set the Settings.Selected3DDevice value to the index of a hardware device. These will have a GUID_DATA1 value of 2229681632 (i.e. {84e63de0-46aa-11cf-816f-0000c020156e}, IID_IDirect3DHALDevice).

What was not tested

Nothing that I can think of.
