What works

The splash screen.

What does not

The installation. Installed to a windows computer and copied Program Files dir to .wine from Dreaweaver Retail Disks. It looked like it kept looking for a registry key on application launch. Patched using the FFF crack and then I ran intot he problem below.

The application.

The application loads the splash screen but does not get any further, ultimately crashing to the desktop. The following error messages are generated:

Additional Comments

Others have gotten it to work, so I'm sure it's somethign on my side. Any advice would be helpful...

To make Dreamweaver 8 run to the known point of operation, delete all of the startup files from C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Configuration\Startup\
