What works
The online launcher runs okay.
It is possible to log in, start the game, play (with either keyboard or controller).
No significant gameplay-impacting bugs noted.
What does not
The game occasionally uses a scrolling texture to represent walls of text on terminals in action areas (forests, caves...) and on the ship.
However, these textures are not visible when running the game in Wine. A workaround is necessary to fix this.
This is a purely aesthetic issue and does not impact gameplay, however.
Workarounds
To fix the scrolling textures, you need to install dgVoodoo2 into your Wine prefix. Download the latest release from the GitHub page, extract the libraries from the "MS/x86" directory into the game's directory (which by default is C:\EphineaPSO), then (optionally) run the "dgVoodooCpl.exe" file and disable "dgVoodoo watermark" in the "DirectX" tab.
What was not tested
I have played through large parts of Episode 1 on Normal and Hard difficulty settings, with no significant issues.

Pretty simple:
In the command line, run "winetricks d3dx9_43" and "winetricks dotnet462" without quotes.
Then install ephinea's installer and run it. Everything should work fine execpt the keyboard issue.
