This is a nice
opportunity for modders to learn approaches used in the game's level
design. We hope that the update will encourage more people to create and
share their cool stuff for Haydee!

Also changed:

  • All the Haydee bodies are now the same as the player.
  • Description field in the Workshop Uploader/Updater is now multiline.
  • Minor fixes and optimization

What works

You can watch a video of the game using Xbox360 gamepad. Xbox360 works using koku-xinput-wine. See section "Extra comments" to install it.

  • Installing the game
  • Playing the game
  • Downloading/playing with models from Workshop
  • Using Xbox360 gamepad (Xbox360 gamepad or whatever gamepad you own is highly recommended). You need to use the project https://github.com/KoKuToru/koku-xinput-wine
  • Setting graphical options in-game
  • Loading a different model from Workshop in-game
  • Generating/Loading a save file

What does not

  • Once you left the game, the game window will be closed nicely. However it is still marked as "being launched" by Steam.
The brutal solution is to open another terminal and to kill Steam. My brutal solution is to run

wineserver -k

  • Resetting resolution does not really work. Setting up a virtual desktop can help but I am used to play in fullscreen mode

Additional Comments

FOR XBOX360 GAMEPAD OWNERS You can download my own version of koku xinput provided with libSDL 2.0.5 at https://www.mediafire.com/?g670k09t0kpmwsm sudo tar xvjf koku-xinput-v.1.1.2-Linux32Bits.tar.bz2 -C / All libraries will be installed in /opt/wine/apps/koku-xinput/. This way there will be no interference with your own system. Now we need to get the mapping for your own Xbox360 gamepad Go to the /opt/wine/apps/koku-xinput/bin folder cd /opt/wine/apps/koku-xinput/bin/ Now run the following command (it is important to go into the bin folder else controllermap will complain that he can not find a few .bmp images. Those .bmp images are located in the bin folder so go to the bin folder) ./controllermap 0 A new window will open. There will be a images set. For each one click on the green button. Once it is done, you will received an output like this one --------------------------------------- INFO: There are 1 joysticks attached INFO: Joystick 0: Microsoft X-Box 360 pad INFO: axes: 6 INFO: balls: 0 INFO: hats: 1 INFO: buttons: 11 INFO: instance id: 0 INFO: guid: 030000005e0400008e02000014010000 INFO: Watching joystick 0: (Microsoft X-Box 360 pad) INFO: Joystick has 6 axes, 1 hats, 0 balls, and 11 buttons INFO: ==================================================================================== Press the buttons on your controller when indicated (Your controller may look different than the picture) If you want to correct a mistake, press backspace or the back button on your device To skip a button, press SPACE or click/touch the screen To exit, press ESC ==================================================================================== INFO: Mapping: 030000005e0400008e02000014010000,Microsoft X-Box 360 pad,platform:Linux,x:b2,a:b0,b:b1,y:b3,back:b6,guide:b8,start:b7,dpleft:h0.8,dpdown:h0.4,dpright:h0.2,dpup:h0.1,leftshoulder:b4,lefttrigger:a2,rightshoulder:b5,righttrigger:a5,leftstick:b9,rightstick:b10,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,rightx:a3,righty:a4, 030000005e0400008e02000014010000,Microsoft X-Box 360 pad,platform:Linux,x:b2,a:b0,b:b1,y:b3,back:b6,guide:b8,start:b7,dpleft:h0.8,dpdown:h0.4,dpright:h0.2,dpup:h0.1,leftshoulder:b4,lefttrigger:a2,rightshoulder:b5,righttrigger:a5,leftstick:b9,rightstick:b10,leftx:a0,lefty:a1,rightx:a3,righty:a4, -------------------------------- As you may notice the last one line will be printed twice. This is a common bug with controllermap (so no worries!) Now write a script shell (using vim or nano or your favorite Text Editor). Values may be different Before running the game using Steam wine Steam -no-cef-sandbox you will have source your own enviroments using environment variables provided in above script. Let me explain. If your script is called runxbox360.sh then open a terminal source /path/to/runbox360.sh then launch the game as usual cd $WINEPREFIX cd /path/to/Steam wine Steam.exe -no-cef-sandbox If you are on Linux64Bits then the system may complain that it can load the file /opt/wine/apps/koku-xinput/lib/koku-xinput-wine.so. No worries about this. This is just a warning.
