Latest version from Steam.
Level select menu, options, physics, keyboard controls, sound.
Leaderboards and [Shift+Tab] Steam overlay work.
What does not
Startup cutscene with Wayforward logo does not show up. However a transition from solid colors of blue to white to cyan and then back to white happens and sound from the cutscene plays as usual.
GRAPHICS DURING GAMEPLAY
The player character, the HUD and several other dynamic display elements do not appear on screen.
PARTIAL FIX FOR INVISIBLE GRAPHICS
Consists of a 3-step procedure:
1: minimize the game. This will trigger the pause menu in the game. Notice that the player character now appears, along with other previously missing.
2: return to the game and choose [continue] on the pause menu.
3: repeat steps 1 to 2 until the player character shows up.
in about 5 tries the parts that were missing will show up, however there will be an afterimage of the player character's lineart layer in the same stance and on-screen position as it was immediatly before pausing.
What was not tested
Xinput (joypad controls)
The game's page on steam lists DirectX11 as the minimum level on system requirements, which is unusual for console ports (most of them use DX9), thus it is likely that the display problems are due to a recent D3D11 feature that is not fully implemented on Wine yet.
