Yandere Simulator is still in development, but you can download a sandbox build that is intended for testing and debugging.
For this test I ran the 15th of February 2017 build.
Game runs at a normal framerate, including all the bugs you'd find on windows.
What does not
The launcher application would not run for me. It's a WPF program that I've tried some dotnet40 installation but got to a dead end debugging the crashes that followed.
However, that problem is bypassed by downloading the latest ZIP from the download page instead, not using the launcher at all.
Out of the box the Microsoft YaHei font is missing and will cause some text not to render.
Downloaded and installed to "$PREFIX/drive_c/windows/Fonts/msyh.ttf" > https://www.onlinewebfonts.com...
The font will be rendered slightly different and cause some minor visual bugs, primarily overflowing text areas.
Fullscreen mode for me made the game totally mess up everything visually. Both 2D and 3D components.
Should this happen for you as well, simply stick with windowed mode.
Most window management operations, like Alt+Tab or moving the window to a different screen releases the mouse.
However, when in the school it actually captures the mouse properly again.
What was not tested
Haven't done a full play through, but it's looking good enough that I plan on doing so.
