After my Linux distribution, Gentoo, upgraded from freetype-2.6.3 to freetype-2.7.1 the fonts in WordWeb looked horrible. Launching wordweb as follows solves the issue: #! /bin/bash cd '~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/WordWeb' export FREETYPE_PROPERTIES='truetype:interpreter-version=35 cff:no-stem-darkening=1 autofitter:warping=1' wine wwnotray.exe
