QQ Version 8.9
Sending and receiving text, emotions, images, and files.
Adding images to "favourite emotions".
The Tencent news window automatically pop-ups (though I don't like it).
Find friends page. (The "location" and "homecountry" are defaulted to "China - everywhere", you need to modify them or you won't find anyone. You can modify them back to China if necessary.)
Setting busy state.
External links are opened in Wine iexplore.
The main menu and notify icon.
Group chatting and managing.
Most setting of setting page.
Notify sound of incoming messages, along with GNOME 3 notification.
When QQ is covered by other windows, the status is automatically switched to "busy". It's sometimes annoying (since auto hiding doesn't work). You should minimize the QQ window to prevent "busy" status.
What does not
Automatically hiding at the margin of screen.
Consume too much CPU (23.2% on my machine).
The UI sometimes doesn't update properly.
Downloading other skins. (QQ would fork tencentdl.exe and won't terminate when you exit. You must kill them.)
Access camera (lead to core dump).
Take screenshots. (I'm using Xwayland, maybe it works well on Xorg.)
Open QQ music from main panel. (Then I removed all these partner apps icon in settings.)
When send images, you must type the file name manually in the image file selection dialog. (Selecting a file or double clicking a file won't work.)
winetricks riched20 to make username textbox working.
What was not tested
QQ pets (I disabled them deliberately).
And other unmentioned functions.
