What works

• Logging in to an existing account
• Basic chat with another account: Sending text (English and Chinese via fcitx), emoticons, window shakes
• Sending and receiving files
• Popup ads
• Receiving voice / video chats
• Setting UI colour (via skins)
• Setting online/offline/busy/etc. state
• External links (Qzone, etc.): these open in Wine Internet Explorer though which is probably not ideal

What does not

• The main menu (menu pops up but instantly disappears)
• Saving password / auto-login (the login prompt always shows up)
• Outbound voice/video chat (lack of USB/webcam support in Wine?)
• The UI sometimes doesn't update properly, though moving the mouse over the affected parts usually works and forces a redraw
• Find friends page (freezes the program)
• Downloading other skins (download page never finishes downloading)

Workarounds

What was not tested

• Installing partner apps (QQGame, etc.)
• Settings page (I can't get to it because the main menu doesn't work)
• Group chats, account registration
• Anything else not mentioned

Additional Comments

I used 'winetricks corefonts fakechinese riched20' to fix typing in the login screen. Without it, installation and starting to the login prompt still work, but there's no way to enter a username.
