[ Ver.1.0.2 ] MAR 2017
The following bugs were fixed.
The installer and (Adobe Air) application work out of the box without changing any wine settings.
What does not
The application will ask to reconnect with the amp after a moment of being connected.
This makes it impossible to use the software to edit anything on the amp.
This is not a Wine issue, on Windows 10 it does the exact same thing unless it's configured exactly in one of two ways:
Using the KATANA DAW CTRL midi channel will cause it not to connect at all.
Using a mixture of KATANA and KATANA CTRL midi channels (one for in and the other for out) will cause it not to connect at all.
Using any other audio channel than the PRIMARY (KATANA) will cause the reconnect dialog.
With my current open-source driver, the Katana's audio interface is not made available in ALSA.
Making it impossible to select the primary audio interface, thus triggering the reconnect dialog.
What was not tested
Sending settings to the amp, as the reconnect dialog prevents this.
Platinum because the application works as expected out of the box. It's a driver issue that makes it useless in the current state. I've tested with the Katana-100 combo amp on the v1.0.2 firmware.

The Katana's USB audio interface is currently not working. Which causes the reconnecting issues with the Boss Tone Studio application. A bugreport for this is filed here Bug 195223 - Boss Katana - USB audio interface not working [snd-usb-audio]
