Additional Comments

Previously, trying to enter combat caused a CTD. Now it works flawlessly. I am using wine-staging, but without any special parameters to it. Regular WINE 2.11 may work as well.

HowTo / Notes

Setting up to play

Here's how to set up a WINE prefix for playing A House of Many Doors.

  1. Create a 32-bit wineprefix
  2. If you will be playing via Steam, install Steam via winetricks
  3. Install corefonts and tahoma
  4. Install DirectX (winetricks directx9 and/or winetricks d3dx9_43 may work, I installed the full runtime from here).
  5. Run the game (from Steam if used, directly otherwise).

If this doesn't work, please provide more info in your test results.
