HiRez
by Pedro Paulo Farias Veras on Monday February 20th 2017, 13:18
Have you fixed the hi rez authentication service error?
Because i'm having this since december and i really want to play the game.
RE: HiRez
by Dmitriy on Saturday February 25th 2017, 12:30
I assume you are talking about the problem related to the linux hosts file. If so, the solution lies in addition an entry to the /etc/hosts with your computer hostname.

One of the threads has 100% cpu usage for no good reason?
by Eli Stone on Wednesday October 26th 2016, 9:13
Hi, I am not sure if this is worth a bug report or just on my end but after launching paladins one of the threads it creates (the paladins executable, not wineserver) seems to use 100% cpu and just hang. It does this constantly regardless of context. Of course terminating it terminates the whole game but I am wondering if this is a problem with Wine or just my setup or the game in general. I have a dedicated graphics card and stuff so I am fairly certain it's not that.

I tried it again, this time I deleted current WINEPREFIX and I created a new one thats 32bit. I installed the game and every .dll file mentioned in the guide, I managed to run the launcher and patch the game. After that it wont even run anymore, this is the output I am getting: pastebin.com/r1JFY1tD Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE: I switched distro to Manjaro 16.10, installed wine-1.9.23, created a new WINEPREFIX and I installed all of the required .dll files. The launcher crashes for me when I try to run it by double clicking the icon on the desktop. When I run Paladins.exe, this is what I get: pastebin.com/RUZtEguW When I run HiRezLauncherUI.exe this is what I get: pastebin.com/PcytbDiG
Can someone please help? I am clueless..

UPDATE 2: I managed to update the game and the launcher seems stable, when I press "Play", it crashes. I used this command to run the game (default desktop icon launch line): "env WINEPREFIX="/home/twistedfate/fresh_wine_prefix" wine C:\\windows\\command\\start.exe /Unix /home/twistedfate/fresh_wine_prefix/dosdevices/c:/users/Public/Desktop/Paladins.lnk" This is the output I am getting: pastebin.com/E7BsLqFS

Could be related.

Since v 0.38 this game uses EasyAntiCheat.
My steam version crashing all the time at game's splash screen.
Workaround:
1. goto /Binaries/Win32/
and manually delete PaladinsEAC.exe and EasyAntiCheat folder.
2. launch the game again.

Also note that,
1. I'm not sure if it's legit to play without anti cheat related files, you might be banned.
2. steam will re-download all deleted files at next run.

by julovac on Saturday October 15th 2016, 18:50
make sure you didnt disable ipv6 (ive done it in grub years ago, and forgot about it).
for some reason, it wont continue, service logs point to connection problem

riched
by Jonathan Ketner on Friday September 30th 2016, 6:21
I saw some riched-related errors, running the riched winetricks seemed to fix some font issues, not required but optionally useful

by Oscar on Monday September 26th 2016, 12:25
Still not working. Service starts after install but after exiting the UI for the first time it fails to start again.
RE:
by Grzegorz on Wednesday September 28th 2016, 4:24
Yes. Try rebooting and launch DIRECTLY from install folder (worked only on default Program Files for me) by typing "wine HirezLauncherUI.exe game=400 product=402" in console
winetricks install order
by Abitia on Monday September 19th 2016, 17:49
Hi!
I had some problems with the mentioned winetricks install order. One of the .net installers hung. After a few tries i got it right (for me at least). I installed dotnet35sp1 last and it worked.
