This is the closed beta of the upcoming expansion Fall of Oriath.
Access to the beta can be obtained by buying a supporter pack, being randomly chosen or participating and winning in certain events running during the beta on the live realm.
Under 32-bit Windows with DirectX 9 renderer selected, game client version 3.0.0c (open to public - no longer beta) works fairly well.
Installer works, game downloader works, game launches, shows intro video just fine. If DirectX 9 backend is selected, can create characters, login and play.
There's a Mac-specific issue which causes all the UI elements to become garbled and unusable after a minute or two of gameplay. That alone makes it bronze, because that issue makes the game unplayable. However, it has a fairly straightforward code fix (no config change) so once that's fixed it should basically be platinum level.
What does not
Under 64-bit WINE, crashes on startup with "Failed to create WIC Factory" and a pile of font errors - totally unusable.
Under DirectX 9EX renderer, no 3D content renders, so new characters cannot be selected and the game itself cannot be played. Luckily this is easy to change (the main menu UI that controls the renderer config works fine).
What was not tested
I only played the early parts of the game, so I haven't tested further.
